Ingredients of Palak Thepla
- Prepare 1 cup of atta (wheat flour).
- It's 1/4 cup of besan (gram flour).
- You need to taste of salt.
- It's 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder.
- It's 1/2 tsp. of red chilli powder.
- You need 1 tbsp. of ginger-green chilies paste.
- You need 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida.
- Prepare 3 tbsp. of yoghurt.
- Prepare 2 tbsp. of olive oil for kneading.
- It's 1 cup of spinach leaves, chopped.
- You need 1 tsp. of roasted coriander powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp. of roasted cumin powder.
- You need as required of olive oil for shallow frying.
Palak Thepla step by step
- In a bowl knead together all the above mentioned ingredients (except oil for frying) into a tight dough with required quantity of water. Keep aside for 30 minutes..
- Knead again for 1-2 minutes and divide the dough into equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin chapatti by dusting some atta and stack them one over the other..
- Heat a tawa & fry the Theplas, one at a time, on both sides with a drizzle of some oil over it & around the edges..
- Serve hot with pickle or plain yoghurt..
